Newsletter From New Managing Director DUJAT
I would like to give you an update about the DUJAT activities since I started as managing director. For me it is important to create an active platform for our Japanese members and our members from other countries. So we have a list of interesting events for this year (see the attached programme). And we are very happy we could welcome many new members. The latest membership list is also attached. We have now 122 members and we are hoping to have more. Because more members means more strength to do what is important for our members.
First of all we had the successful DUJAT dinner in December 2016. Quite a lot of people attended and everybody loved the fantastic performance on the Taiko Drums by the Ambassador of Japan, H.E. mr. Hiroshi Inomata.
Our first event in 2017 was the New Year’s reception at our new office in Kronenburg (Amstelveen). We had about 80 guests, also a lot of new members joined the reception.
The first seminar this year was on February 15th at the office of our respected member company Houthoff Buruma. The seminar was focusing on Brexit. Of course we expected quite a number of participants, but we could not expect that more than 100 people would join this seminar. We had a lot of positive feedback. This seminar was organized by Dujat, JCC and Houthoff Buruma.
Our next two events are the visit to Wageningen University on March 17th. We have already nearly 30 members who will join, but we have room for some more. So if you are interested please let us know.
And on April 8th we will have the Sakura Festival. There was some delay by sending out the invitations by Amsterdam Inbusiness. They assured us the invitation will be sent out ultimately this week. Dujat is co-organizer and sponsor of the event.
Together with JCC we have sent a letter to the Commissioner of NFIA and the Mayors of the cities of Amsterdam, Amstelveen, Almere and Haarlemmermeer to explain why it is extremely important to maintain the 30% ruling benefit for expats. You can find the text of this letter on our website.
There are many events this year to come and we are still working on making the programme even better. So please do not forget to check our website for the upcoming events.
You are most welcome to visit our office if you want to discuss something or need our help. Coffee is always ready and parking is free.
Last but not least I would like to thank you for your strong support for DUJAT. I hope we have a nice spring season and that we can welcome beautiful Sakura blossom at the end of this month.
