Corporate Governance in the Netherlands has certain characteristics, in particular for companies with a workforce of 50 or more: they are obliged in most cases, to establish a Supervisory Board and a Works Council.

Meanwhile corporate governance in the Netherlands is subject to change.

Corporate Governance in Japan is changing as well. Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has made a new corporate governance code to a cornerstone of his economic programme, known as Abenomics. The purpose of this high-level seminar is to inform the participants, representatives of Dutch subsidiaries of Japanese companies in the Netherlands, on recent changes in the Dutch Corporate Governance Code and on the way they can profit optimally from this structure.
