[2020-02-26] New Dutch Labour Law Legislation – L&A Employment Lawyers Round Table
|We are pleased to invite you to our upcoming DUJAT / L&A Employment Lawyers Round Table, taking place on Wednesday 26 February in Amsterdam.
Dutch employment law has changed significantly with the WAB that came into force from January 1st 2020. The changes are a result of criticism on the former employment law legislation. The main purpose of the WAB is making it more attractive for employers to hire employees on a permanent basis.
This seminar will focus on Dutch dismissal law and the main changes in the Dutch Balanced Labour Market act (‘WAB’). The round table will be organized for a maximum of 20 guests.
The programme will feature Arlette Putker-Blees, one of the founders and Managing Partner of L&A Employment Lawyers, and Frederique de Jong, a senior associate, who will both give a detailed presentation.
We are also very pleased that Willem Visser ‘t Hooft, lecturer in socio-legal studies and criminology at the Leiden University Institute for Area Studies (LIAS), is also able to attend. He will lead the Q&A, and translate Japanese-English for our round table guests if necessary.
