On Wednesday May 22nd, Mr. Geert Jan Mantel, Chairman of Dujat, was honored with the Ambassador’s Commendation during a gathering at Jones Day Office in Amsterdam. On the occasion of the Dujat Trip to Japan, a selected group of members attended the Dujat event ‘Meeting before Departure’. The event was attended by delegation members of the Dujat trip, companies involved with this trip, and the Board of Dujat.
During the Meeting before Departure, the programme of the Dujat trip and the seminars that are to be organized were explained briefly. Mrs. de Kemp, Managing Director of Dujat told about the trip in general. Mr. van der Helm (KPMG) explained about the Logistics Seminar, Ms. Tanaka (EY) about the Agrifood Seminar, and Mr. van Oppen (Loyens & Loeff) about the Financial Investment Seminar.
At the end, H.E. Mr. Inomata, Ambassador of Japan to The Netherlands and Mrs. Inomata made their appearance to award Mr. Mantel with this special commendation. We were accompanied by Mrs. Mantel as well.
As a representative of the Japanese government, it is my great honour to award Mr. Mantel with this Commendation in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the economic ties between Japan and the Netherlands with Dujat up until now.
