On Friday 24 June, Dujat members visited Hitachi Construction Machinery Europe (HCME) as well as the largest sea lock in the world: Zeesluis IJmuiden, and the temporary exhibition at SHIP.
A very interesting visit where we could learn more about the developments at Hitachi, Port of Amsterdam, and about the construction of the sea lock while meeting and networking with other members. Many thanks to HCME and Port of Amsterdam for hosting and organizing this wonderful event with us!
This event is for Dujat members and invitees only.
If your company is member of Dujat and you did not receive the invitation, please contact our office.
We are pleased to invite you to join us on Friday 24 June, for a company visit and networking lunch which is organized together with Port of Amsterdam and Hitachi Construction Machinery Europe.
Hitachi Construction Machinery Europe (HCME)
The event will start at HCME, which is a subsidiary of Hitachi Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. (HCM) and is responsible for the manufacture, sales and marketing of Hitachi construction equipment throughout Europe, Africa and the Middle East. The company’s mission to ‘think global, act local’ is reflected in its focus on customer needs and the Hitachi brand values associated with innovation and technology.
The company will welcome us at their venue for the first part of our programme and will give a presentation to give an update about its recent developments.
Port of Amsterdam / SHIP
From Hitachi we will jointly take the bus to SHIP in IJmuiden. During the bus ride, Port of Amsterdam will give an update about their organization and activities. At SHIP we will have a guided tour, where we will learn about the construction of Zeesluis IJmuiden, the largest sea lock in the world, and the latest developments in Europe’s fourth seaport, Amsterdam. In addition, the ports of IJmuiden, Beverwijk and Zaanstad are highlighted.
After the tour at SHIP we will walk to Zeesluis IJmuiden. We will then return to HCME where a networking lunch will be organized to conclude this event.
