On Monday 11 December, the annual Dujat December Dinner took place at Hotel Okura Amsterdam with a record number of 470 guests.
It was our honor to welcome H.E. Mr. Hiroshi Minami, Ambassador of Japan to the Netherlands and Mr. Geoffrey van Leeuwen, Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation to this event, and we thank them for their wonderful speeches.
One highlight our guests will most likely remember was the amazing performance by Yamato Taiko School. They are a Taiko drum school in The Netherlands, organized by the Japanese group Yamato from Japan. They played the song called ‘Hyuga’ 日向 (meaning: Sunrise).
After the Taiko performance, the long-awaited award ceremony of the 9th Deshima Netherlands Awards took place. More about the Deshima Awards can be found here. Congratulations to Yanmar Europe (well-established) and Sekisui Design Studio (newcomer) for winning the awards! The Deshima Awards were presented and awarded by Ms. Hilde van der Meer, Commissioner of NFIA.
The event was concluded with a dessert buffet and networking reception, and all our guests were given a gift bag at the end of the evening, with a very special creation from TIME & STYLE, exclusively made for this event.
We are pleased to announce that reservations are now open for this year’s festive end-of-the-year event: the Dujat December Dinner, which will take place on Monday 11 December at Hotel Okura Amsterdam. Those who are member of Dujat are now welcome to book their table or couverts for this event.
