Dear members of Dujat,

We are pleased to inform you that applications are now open for next year’s Dujat Trip to Japan, taking place from 27 May – 31 May 2024.

Participation is open for all Dujat members. The opportunity to join our delegation to Japan is included in your company’s membership, so no organizational costs will be charged. Only your own expenses such as flight, hotel, transport, lunch/dinner, etc.

If you are interested, please make sure to apply before 1 March 2024. For more details we refer to the information below. We have a maximum capacity for this trip so please do not wait too long with your application (the form was sent by e-mail).

Like previous years, we will work together closely with GI Travel to organize this trip. However from this year, GI Travel will only be in charge of hotel reservations and arranged transport for our delegation, so flights are no longer included.


Programme

The trip will start in Osaka, with a morning visit to the Yakult Miki Factory on Monday. The afternoon is reserved for individual visits, so please make your own plans. In the evening we will have a reception with Dujat relations in the Kansai area. This will take place at Hilton Osaka.

On Tuesday we get the opportunity to visit the Yanmar BIO Innovation Lab in Kurashiki – about 3hrs travel from Osaka but with of course time for a cultural visit to the beautifully preserved historical town Kurashiki.

Our programme on Wednesday will feature a morning visit to the Fujitsu Innovation Center in Kanagawa (near Tokyo), and a joint Dujat & NFIA showcase event in the afternoon, with possibility for delegation members to present themselves. More details will follow soon.

Thursday is reserved for individual appointments, but like every year we will gather at the Ambassador’s Residence in the evening for the annual reception with the Dujat Advisory Board in Japan.

Friday will start with a morning visit to the Ricoh Innovation Center, followed by a financial roundtable with MUFG and EY. This roundtable will be a small interactive event for our members in Japan, but the Dujat delegation is welcome to join the reception. There will also be limited room for observers, so if you are interested in observing the discussion, feel free to let us know in your application and we will send more information later.

The trip will be concluded with a joint dinner in Tokyo with all delegation members and companies that were involved with the organization.

The detailed draft programme can be found attached, but please know that this will be updated in due time. Remember that all activities are optional.

Important note: Some company visits may have a maximum capacity. It is up to the companies we visit how many delegation members they can receive. We will keep you updated.
