This year on the 1st of March 2024, applications will open for the second national essay contest for college and university students in the Netherlands, organized by Dujat and Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in an effort to strengthen the relations of the Netherlands with Japan.
Students are the future of generations and with this essay contest, we would like to inspire them to explore the long-lasting relationship between Japan and the Netherlands.
In 2022, Ms. Annabel Melhuish won the contest themed “Energy transition in the Netherlands and Japan: how to benefit from each other through cooperation” and won a trip to Japan.
The contest will be open for all Bachelor’s and Master’s level students who have affinity with Japan, regardless of their academic major or focus. If you are interested, please keep an eye on our website and social media for the announcement on the 1st of March. This is also when we reveal the theme of the contest.
