Dear members and relations of Dujat. For those who are interested: the next edition of Japan Day is coming up, on Sunday the 9th of September. Japan Day is a yearly event organized by Baseball and Softball Club Twins from Oosterhout (Noord-Brabant), which was organized for the first time in 2016, when Twins had a Japanese pitcher named Keiji Uezono, who used to play for the Rakuten Eagles and the Hanshin Tigers.
With Japan Day @ Twins Oosterhout we would like to honor the good ties between Japan and The Netherlands. And what is better then organizing a Japan Day during a nice game of baseball, the most famous sport in Japan.
Shogo Nakashima, ex Yakult Swallows pitcher will pitch, and Ambassador H.E. Mr. Hiroshi Inomata will be there at the event and will throw the first pitch. During the baseball game there will be a lottery with lots of prizes, such as baseball caps, shirts, dinners, etc.
The goal of the event is that the Japanese and Dutch community get to know each other better while having fun, enjoying a baseball game, Japanese food and drinks. The park opens at 12:00, and the game starts at 14:00. Entrance is free! It is also possible to sign up for a spot at the VIP box, which will require a participation fee for the food and drinks. If you are interested, please contact vangastel@dujat.nl for more information.
