We are pleased to officially announce that the date for next year’s Dujat Trip to Japan has been determined: 27 May – 31 May 2024. As usual, we will start in Osaka on Monday. We will then travel to Tokyo by Shinkansen where most of the programme will take place, including the annual Dujat Advisory Board Reception at the Dutch Ambassador’s Residence, on Thursday 30 May.
Regarding the programme contents, we are still working on this, but we can already give a small preview. In 2024 it will be our honor to visit the Yanmar Bio Innovation Center Kurashiki Laboratory, and the Innovation Center of Fujitsu in Tokyo. Other company visits and events are to be announced.
Below, we answer a couple of frequently asked questions about the trip. Of course if you have any other questions in advance, feel free to get in touch.
How can I apply for the Dujat Trip to Japan 2024?
We expect to open the application procedure this year in November after the first draft programme is as complete as possible. We will send this to all our members. This is also when we share information about the hotels.
What are the costs for joining this trip?
The opportunity to join our delegation to Japan is included in your company’s Dujat membership, so no organizational costs will be charged. Only your own expenses such as flight, hotel, transport, lunch/dinner, etc. so please make your own rough budget depending on your preferences. For certain company visits in 2024, Dujat will take care of arranged transport in Japan (no fee), with exception of shinkansen tickets. Regarding the hotels, like previous years we will arrange 2 hotel options against a reduced fee. These will be the main hotels where the buses to company visits will depart. Details and prices are to be determined. It is also possible to book your own hotel of course. In that case, just make sure to be on time for the bus departure at one of our hotels.
Can my company be visited by the Dujat delegation during this trip?
Although the programme still needs to be confirmed 100%, unfortunately we have no more room for other company visits or events. If your company is interested in welcoming a Dujat delegation in the future, please get in touch with our Managing Director Christa de Kemp (c.de.kemp@dujat.nl), so this can be discussed for future trips after 2024.
Should I book my flight or should I wait until application time in October-November?
The date of the trip is final, so it is already possible to book your flight. Our programme will officially start on Monday 27 May in Osaka. More details will be shared in our next announcement. Is it possible to only join the programme in Tokyo, not in Osaka?
More details will be shared along with the application form, but participation is completely flexible. It is not mandatory to apply for every part of our programme. Applying for only the Dujat events taking place in Tokyo is definitely possible.
Can my colleagues in Japan join Dujat events?
Your representatives in Japan are welcome to attend the seminars and receptions we organize in Osaka and Tokyo. Please send us their names and e-mail addresses so we can add them to our mailinglist for Japan events, or make sure to forward the respective event invitations when we send them next year. Company visits are exclusive for delegation members.
