Japan and the Netherlands have been trading for centuries, but since February 1 2019 trading has become easier and cheaper. Thanks to EU-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement, Japanese and European consumers and businesses can now take advantage of the largest open trade zone in the world. But as trading partners, we must keep track of the ever changing environment. As of January 2020, the labour laws have changed impacting our business. Do you want to learn more about the EU-Japan Economic Partnership and how the changes for the labour laws might affect your business? We are pleased to invite you to our upcoming Dutch – Japan Logistics Seminar, taking place on Wednesday March 11 at the headquarters of Broekman Logistics in Rotterdam. The seminar is organized in collaboration with Holland International Distribution Council (HIDC/NDL), and will be open to members of both organizations. After an introduction by Ron Kuijpers, Director Business Development at Broekman Logistics, the programme will feature a presentation by Esmé Storm, HR Business Partner of Briddge Legal & Finance, focusing on the developments in labour law as of January 1 2020, and a presentation by Jonas Belmans, Manager Global Trade Advisory at Deloitte, about key customs aspects of the EU-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement. Of course there will also be an opportunity to ask questions during the Q&A, led by our moderator Jasper Eggebeen, Senior Manager Supply Chain Solutions of HIDC/NDL. You can get in touch with our speakers and with fellow participants at the networking reception. |
