[2020-09-01] Tax & Investment Update Seminar/Webinar: Developments around the Netherlands’ role as Gateway to Europe

This event is for invitees only. If your company is member of Dujat, please contact our office
and we will send you the invitation.
On Tuesday 1 September, the first on-site Dujat event took place after a few months of organizing online events only due to the outbreak of COVID-19. A small group of members was welcomed at the office of Loyens & Loeff in Amsterdam, while a bigger group logged in from their home and offices to attend the seminar online.

It was very nice to see everyone again, and we hope to continue organizing offline events in combination with online events. We look forward to welcoming you next time!

The Netherlands has always played an important role as entry point to the European market and the Dutch government has always provided for Japanese companies a warm welcome.

There are many benefits for Japanese companies in setting up a Dutch company for investments in the Netherlands and as ‘hub’ for investments in other European countries. Also because of Brexit many Japanese companies have been considering to move to the Netherlands to remain in the European Union.

However, this Gateway to Europe business concept is under pressure, especially due to different tax developments in Europe and the Netherlands.

During this webinar, Loyens & Loeff will focus on those developments, discuss the issues, explain what is and is not relevant for Japanese companies and present possible solutions. Moreover, NFIA will explain about its efforts, achievements and outlook in attracting Japanese and other foreign investors to the Netherlands.

A small group will be attending a live version of the event at the office of Loyens & Loeff in Amsterdam. The webinar will be organized with GoToWebinar and will be accessible for members in Japan, the Netherlands and other countries. The slides will be sent to you after the webinar.
