Takashi Hayakawa, CEO MIRAI DATA B.V. – CEO of Mirai Data, leader of numerous projects in the automotive and IT industry and CEO to Mirai Data’s sister companies in Japan and China.
Mirai Data B.V. was established in Helmond, NL in September 2020. In Japanese, the word mirai means ‘future’.
We are a group of start-ups with five companies in Japan, one in Europe and one in China. Each company is active in a different, but related technical field and boasts its own strengths and capabilities.
Our goal is to expand Japanese autonomous driving technology to Europe via our home base at the Automotive Campus (automotivecampus.com), Helmond, situated in the Brainport region of North Brabant. To realize this objective we are looking to work closely with advanced technology companies in the region to further develop autonomous mobility solutions.
We wish to challenge ourselves and contribute to the future of society and the smart city.
What does Dujat membership mean for your business?
As a Japan-based organisation seeking to expand our horizons to the Netherlands and the wider Europe region, Dujat has played an important role in helping us build up our network and embed ourselves in the ecosystem.
Dujat’s contacts are extremely valuable, and the organisation has been nothing but open and supportive since we initially began to consider membership.
We particularly value the diverse events and opportunities to meet new people and organisations the Dujat membership offers us.
When thinking of Dujat, which fond memories come to mind?
The end of the year Dujat event is always a great place to meet and get to know people from all walks of life, and this event remains in my memory year-round.
Do you have any advice for doing business in Japan or the Netherlands?
By engaging with Dujat, we have been able to foster a deeper understanding of the business culture of both countries and the effectiveness of corresponding approaches to both markets.
We have also learned to look for opportunities to bring a positive influence from the other culture and its business practices, and look to foster a creative blend of Japanese and European approaches to business.
Business cultures differ across both countries; however, all of us share an interest in collaborating and pursuing our common goals. In this way, we should not be shy to reach across the language and cultural barrier and build something new together.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
Congratulations on reaching the milestone of Dujat’s 40th anniversary!
We would like to extend our gratitude for Dujat’s invaluable contribution to bolstering economic ties between the Netherlands and Japan. We eagerly anticipate further strengthening the partnership between our nations and exploring fresh avenues for growth.
We hope to see more events in Japan, including informal gatherings, tailored for our Japanese members, along with a renewed emphasis on enhancing membership engagement from small and medium enterprises.
Here’s to Dujat’s continued success in the years ahead!
