HIDETOSHI HONDA is Senior Currency Strategist at Mizuho Corporate Bank in London, one of flagship banks of Mizuho Financial Group. He joined Midland Bank in Tokyo as currency option dealer in 1989. Since 1992 he had developed his expertise in European currencies trading at Credit Agricole in Tokyo and closely witnessed the birth of the single currency as he was transferred in 1996 to their London Branch as Head of Japan Desk. In 2000 he joined the Industrial Bank of Japan. Consequently took up the current position in 2003 after the bank integrated into Mizuho Financial Group, one of the largest banking groups in Japan. He has devoted his entire carrier to the currency market and its dealing.
